I will say a big HELLO to everyone too !!!!!!!!!
:wavey:
more familiar names like Kerrie, are cropping up now (from the "other" kef site) which makes it all the better.
I bet you are getting excited now Cyberdux, I'm getting excited for you! How are the kids doing, hopefully not driving you mad yet with questions
every few minutes! mind you it's easier to be tolerant as they are just looking forward to their holiday, good luck and have a great time. If you see
Stan at the Lassi supermarket (if it's open) say hello to him from Ali, Terry and Robin, we will be there in August.

My oldest step-son and stan hit it off big time, while we're there stan's asked him to give him a hand setting up the shop.. Who knows maybe you'll
see him working there before long (although having stan as a role model is something i wouldn't like, especially when stavros used to give him a room
at our apartments for.. Errr, Ummm Entertainment purposes!!)
Kids are doing fine, we've not told any of the younger ones, they still think we're just talking their nan and granddad back to the airport and waving
goodbye to them, funny as they'll allow us to get on the plane and say goodbye when they're sat in the seats!!
got to re-sort all the suitcases now as we've got loads of "extras" that nanny and grampy have brought and need transporting across to them!!

Wow! What a casanova! Mind you if I was 10 years younger and not hitched ofcourse....he is a bit of a looker! boys will be boys as they say. The main
thing is he's fun and I'm sure he's got his dependable side too.
Why can't you tell the younger kids they are going on holiday? Is it just easier to surprise them. I'm a pre-school assistant and I know what it's
like with kids at that age, if you tell them something every day for two weeks they will still ask you "why? what's happening tomorrow?"
It can drive you a bit loopy!

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum, and hope to get to know you all :o)
I'm in Crete at the moment staying with friends for a month and then heading to Kefalonia in 3 weeks for a month or so and meeting my friend there.
Anyone else due to fly out then? Would be cool to meet up!
It made me laugh reading about Stan!!!! I had a thing with him last Aug/Sept, and I was lucky enough to be taken back to his mums house! thankfully I
didnt get to see the 'room' he rented from Stavros!!!! He's a nice bloke but, very very bad....he failed to tell me he had a girlfriend on the
mainland until he'd got his wicked way!!!!!!! I hope he behaves this year!!!! His mum is lovely, and I cant wait to see her again. Will be nice to see
Stan, but I hope he doesnt think he can pick up where he left off ;o)
Look forward to getting to know everyone on here! Hope you all enjoy your holidays in Kefalonia also blank
Lots of love blankblank

When you get to speak to stan, just tell him that laura, tets and family hope he's not being picked on by our mother-in-law each time she comes and
sees them.. Ask to see the photo he promised he was going to put but up of us..
We used to have the rooms above where he used to "entertain", we knew it was him as we'd always see his shoes outside the room.. My wife even asked
in the shop to see his shoes and when he obliged said "Yeah they're the shoes we saw"... He blushed and told us not to say a thing!!!

Hi Dux,
Hmmmm sounds like Stan, haha! Yes, will ask to see the piccie when/if I see him....depends who he's entertaining Maybe he's matured by the time I go back, he's a lovely lad and would have loved to stuck with him..........but
you know the Greeks....1 is never enough!
Where does your mother in law live in Lassi? I might bump into her while Im there!
Im so looking forward to going back to Kefalonia, I mean I love being here in Crete, but its not the same.....its much faster here and busy, I love
the slow Kef way of life!!!!
Bit nervous about the internal flights from Crete/Athens and Athens/Kef tho..........hope they have decent planes and not some old rust buckets :o(
When are you next in Kef?

mother-in-law lives in svoronata..
the internal flights are brilliant, pity the stewardess's don't have a sense of humour.. As the internal ones are propellar planes.. i asked if she
could turn the air conditioning fans off outside coz i was cold.. Her reply "they're the propellers and make the plane fly"..
Hopefully we're out in kef end of august, end of october and sometime over christmas!!!

Did you book your flights from Athens to Kef in UK? How much am I expecting to pay for a one way...would u know??
Hmmm the propeller planes sound....interesting!!! I hope they are nice and new :oS
Might still be around in August.........if money doesnt run out. Have a friend Im meeting is trying to sort me a job in Svoranata as we speak so I may
end up there rather than Lassi

I think the internal flights are about €120 or so.. not too sure, when we went to kef in march/april mother-in-law booked it for us in kef as it saved
us about £200 not having to pay Duties on the flights (don't ask why, or how, we just got told that)..
Best thing you could do is go into a travel agency over there and get them to give you a good deal as you're flying internally, it must be easier to
get the information from them than to go poking around websites, after all a lot of business people use the flights like we use trains or buses..
Flight from athens to kef is about 45 minutes...

If you look at all the crashed planes, you'll find that the propeller ones are the ones that have had less crashes, if they do get one stopped, the
other one will be able to handle the workload of both!!

Ha ha! More ammunition to get free lollipops with! Not that he isn't generous with them though, my boy seems to get one every visit, as you say
ilovegreece Stan's a lovely fella, unfortunately too young for me now, and there is that slightly inconvenient fact that I am married!!

Hi Dux & Ali,
Im going to be brave and book the propeller plane on Monday and get over to Kefalonia next week...cant wait! My friend who flew in yesterday said its
dead there and nothing seems to be open! Sounds like here in Crete, things are very slow this season, they are still building shops, cleaning beaches
etc.
Hi Ali, yes Stan spoilt my 12 year old brother who I took with me too, he was always coming back from the shop with sweets, lollypops, fruit and a
hat! Lol!! I will go and see Stan again, but not for the reasons he probably hopes for, haha!!!
We kept in touch and he sent me a few texts over Christmas, but I think as he is attached its best not to go there again, for his girlfriends sake, no
matter how lovely he was.
When are you next in Kefalonia?

Hi ilovegreece,
We will be there 12th August to the 26th, staying at the Evans studios, just somewhere to sleep, as I am told that they are very basic inside, never
mind.
For the past 4 times that we have been in Lassi we have always stayed at the Minas apartments, but they are not available this year due to the
Russians getting them!
Do you know where you are staying yet, or are you just going to arrive and chance your arm or are you staying with your friend?
I bet you will love flying on the prop plane, it would be exciting I think! Just be brave and try to relax!

Hi Ali,
Awww I also tried to get Minas studios too, but when I checked in the First Choice brochure there were not there :o(
We stayed in them last Aug/Sept and thought they were fab! Which room did you have? We had room 2 upstairs, and it was really nice and spacious, with
great sea views.
I wonder why the Russians got them this year??????
Probably staying with friend in Svoronata to begin with, and see how things pan out!!!
Where in the UK are you?
Will let you know how the propeller plane is :oS
Take care blankxx

Hello you all out there
Hi there IloveGreece are you about to get on your windey uppy planey then, hope you have a great flight ah you'll be sooo happy once you get there I
remember that gorgeous air that greets you when you step out of the plane or off the wing!!
I'd love to help with the Turtles I looked on the website a while back and I think you have to apply in advance but unlike most conservation jobbies
they only want you to pay the minimum for food and board and you get a lot of free time as well. But this year will be up and down the hill and
mountain it's amazing how fast it gets you back in shape!!
love to see you there I've been to Lassi, so def send me the number
Is it me or is the weather woman speaking porkies hot and humid today?? hmmmn!!!!!
be good everybody all the best Keffies

Hello Peeps Hi there Bongo Dux and Co, yes I know I coudn't think of much to say that time either
but now I've finally realised what you all mean by Propeller Planes, I really thought that was a joke cause the propeller planes I was thinking of
were the old ones at the airport!! think they are used to put out fires but I think I've been on propeller plane from London they are the ones that
make you feel like you're really flying
